For their Spring 2018 Carven ad campaign the house offered a combination of both, layering attention grabbing high contrast images with just enough space to contemplate the rich beauty of the composition. The coloring drips with richness and draws the viewer into a world rich in textures married with touches of nature.

Carven Creative Director Serge Ruffieux has teamed with art director Jean‑Baptiste Talbourdet-Napoleone and photographer Jack Davison to reinvent the house in fairly short order. The campaign with model Olympia Campbell, daughter of Sophie Hicks and sister to Eddie, was shot in the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife in Spain’s Canary Islands. Rather than head to the island’s stunning beaches the team settled for a more dense look that embraced the tropical heat to turn up the volume of the designer collection.
